are you located?
The Plantation at Dorsett Shoals is conveniently located
on the west side of Atlanta in Douglas County, about 25 minutes from the
heart of downtown. Our community is located 4 miles off I-20, only 5 minutes
from Arbor Place Mall, but in a quiet and tranquil district which is almost
entirely residential. We are also no more than 25 minutes from Hartsfield
International Airport. There are two entrances to the community which
provide more flexibility and time-savings in getting you to your desired
destination.
What sets your community apart from
others in the area?
Two things...The home builders at The Plantation are committed to providing
a superior product and often set the industry standards for not only master
craftmanship, but also customer service. In addition to overseeing the
fine finishes, it is not uncommon for the builders to follow up with a
new homeowner to ensure every detail has been attended to and that they
are 100% satisfied.
 The
other thing that sets the community apart is the neighbors. Coming from
all over the country, many who are settling in at The Plantation have
been known to express their search for just the right community to raise
their families. Most are seeking a place where neighbors come together
and enjoy spending time together, in peace and safety. School age children
are in abundance and friendships are fast forming. Holidays are particuarly
festive as people take great pride in tasteful and mood setting decorations.

How about the schools?
The public schools are some of the best in the area: Holly Springs Elementary,
Chapel Hill Middle School and Chapel Hill High School. We encourage you

there are many private schools, both perochial and non-perochial. We've

What recreational amenities does
the community have?
In addition to street lit sidewalks which are conducive to friendly neighborhood
walks after dinner, we provide a pool and tennis facility and a walking
track around a spring-fed lake. Next to the lake, we installed a seven-piece
playground area, which draws neighborhood children and their parents together
for playtime. The Plantation is also located just 7-8 minutes away from
Sweetwater Creek State Park, a great place to picnic, hike, canoe, or
just relax and feed the ducks! Six Flags over Georgia is only 7 miles
away, providing even more opportunities for summer and weekend fun. 
Do you have a Homeowners Association?
Our community has recorded covenants and recorded by-laws for the establishment
of our Homeowners Association. The developer has set the fee at $300 annually.
What about shopping?
The Plantation at Dorsett Shoals is located only 5 minutes from both the
Arbor Place Mall area and Highway 5's shopping district. Grocery shopping,
video rentals, a sub shop, a Chinese restaurant, dry cleaning facilities,
and gasoline stations are all located within one mile of the community.
What churches are found in the area?
Most all denominations are found within a 5 mile radius.
